training courses

We offer a wide range of one and two day training courses covering many key management and organisational skills. They can be purchased off the shelf and delivered in company to address a particular training need or tailored to ensure a closer fit with the particular way of doing business in your organisation.

Many of our clients choose to select a number of these courses and have them delivered as a modular programme over a period of time.

We also deliver some of them as open programmes which are suitable for individuals from different organisations.

Especially popular is our two day Influencing Skills programme, which we have delivered to a number of clients both within the UK and internationally. Focussed on helping people learn how to manage laterally without direct authority, it looks at the skills required to influence effectively both within and outside the organisation.

Our two-day tailor-made Train the Trainer Course is also very much in demand. It is especially requested to equip functional specialists, who are required to deliver training courses, with core, training delivery skills. They are given the skills and confidence to do much more than just present material and to be more skilled at engaging with participants.

Case study 1 -The Walt Disney Company

Our Influencing Skills course has featured in the Disney Executive Development Curriculum for more than ten years. This international programme, originally launched within Disney Consumer Products in Paris, helps individuals and managers operate productively both in the Disney environment and with partners, licensees and suppliers. Giving them insight into different influencing styles, participants are able through exercises, feedback and demonstrations to develop more confidence and choice in the way they tackle different situations.

Case study 2 -Helston Garages

Ensuring that there is a strong pipeline of managerial talent available to supply the future needs of the organisation is a key challenge. Often when management positions become available there is a scramble to fill them and good in-house talent, capable of growing into the position, can be overlooked. We worked with this leading retail motor group to design and deliver a development programme for potential managers. Participants came together for a series of one-day workshops on key management skills, undertook pre and post course assignments and on successful completion of the programme were awarded an IMI (Institute of The Motor Industry) certificate. More importantly, they and the company were able to talk more openly about future management roles.
