Workshop Content

The programme is designed to enable you to transfer your learning into your own work and organisation in a way that will directly increase your impact and effectiveness.

The workshops build on each other through a planned cycle of learning, action and review.  This consolidation of learning will lead to best practice through increased confidence and competence.

Workshop 1 - Operating at the Heart of the Business
This workshop will explore the role of the ‘new’ HR, who your customers are, what value added HR could mean for them (and for you) and how you can develop the right climate for successful business partnering. We will identify the key competencies required to effectively deliver value added HR and help you to identify which elements of your own personal development plan to focus on for success.

Workshop 2 – Understanding and Connecting with your Business
This practical workshop will help you to better understand your business, the financial metrics and key drivers for performance. It will help you to apply this understanding so that you can better understand what the business needs, what it is trying to achieve and your role in HR in facilitating success.

Workshop 3 - Developing your HR Strategy
This workshop will use real life case studies to show you how to apply your business knowledge to develop customer focussed HR strategies and initiatives which are relevant, joined up, timely and address the key issues that directly impact upon the achievement of your business goals.

Workshop 4 – Identifying and Influencing Key Stakeholders
This workshop will show you how to map out the bases of power and influence both within and outside your own organisation and to develop your networking skills and personal influencing style so you can build more effective, influential relationships. You will leave with a strategy for action for implementation on your return to the office.

Workshop 5 - Planning and Implementing Organisational Change
This workshop will focus on how to sell in, plan and manage HR initiatives and change programmes, utilise appropriate resources, identify and overcome resistance to change.
